Continuing Legal Education Series

The Money Coaching Institute in conjunction with CLE Abroad is pleased to announce a new series of Continuing Legal Education Online Seminars entitled “Money & the Legal Profession: Understanding & Managing Your Own and Your Client's Financial Behaviors for a More Purposeful and Prosperous Relationship.”

This series consists of seven one-hour seminars, for a total of seven Continuing Legal Education credits. The purpose of this series is to help both the Attorney and the Client understand their money behaviors and the important role they play in business, settlements and any number of legal decisions. We do this through an extensive review and interactive dialogue of how and why we make the financial decisions we do now, and how we can make the paradigm shift necessary to change our perceptions, make better judgments and become purposeful and prosperous in both our professional and private lives.

All Seminars are presented live online through Webex. They are recorded and made available to participants at any time. Upon registration, each participant will receive a password, enabling access to any of the recorded seminars in this series. So no worries if you miss a live session, they are always available for you online.

The first Seminar is free!  We invite you to sample this dynamic new concept of Money Education for Lawyers & Clients and receive 1 CLE credit.

The Topic is: Money Archetypes & Why They Are Important to the Attorney and the Client:

A review of individual money archetypes and their influences on both Attorneys and their clients. How they play an important role in clients’ behavior in the areas of business decisions, settlements, family law issues and litigation choices will be reviewed.

Following the Free Seminar there will be a series of six additional seminars, building on the first week's introduction.

Seminar #2: About the Mind and Money: NeuroEconomics 101

An exploration into current findings in the field of neuroscience and economics that will help to explain human behavior for the attorney and the Client and how patterns of thought and behavior form.  How such patterns can be triggered unconsciously and subconsciously, how they can become addictive based on brain chemistry, and their influence on Attorney and Client relationships and money life.

Seminar #3: How to Identify Attorney &  Client Money Types

An introduction to a way to identify, understand, and appreciate the way  Attorneys and Clients generally relate to money, money issues, and money decisions.  Money Types are explained in detail, including key characteristics, fears, goals, motivators, and key healings or lessons to be incorporated in order to move beyond the limiting factors.

Seminar #4: How a Client's Money Types Influence their Financial Decisions and Interactions

Money Types influence financial decisions and interactions in ways which may seem at odds to what is “right and proper.”  Further, a combination of Money Types can cause a Client to vacillate between one influence and another, or several all at once.  This mental and emotional “back and forth” has an impact on the financial decision making process and interactions, whether familial, commercial, legal, or otherwise.

Seminar #5: Behavior Modification Techniques and Strategies for Helping Clients to Move Beyond their Emotions

Money triggers emotions in people in numerous different ways.  When in the midst of an emotional reaction triggered by money (or anything else), people are often not present to deal with the non-emotional, practical and/or cognitive aspects of the issue or discussion at hand.  Whether the issue/discussion is an injury or damage claim, estate planning, settlement offers, or any other monetary interest, the emotional aspect or impact to the client may cloud their ability to focus and come to a decision.  Techniques and strategies will be offered to help clients move beyond their emotions to be more present for the decisions to be made.

Seminar #6: How the Attorney &  Client Can Negotiate Financial Conflict with Confidence

When faced with financial conflict, attorney and client may shy away from advocacy, engagement, confrontation, or other actions that are necessary to assert their position or legal rights.  This seminar will share how attorneys can help clients to better negotiate financial conflict based upon knowing their Money Types and emotional triggers.

Seminar#7: Lessons for Attorneys and Clients To Live More Financially Empowered Lives

Financial empowerment comes not from the amount of money made and accumulated, but from knowing deep within our mind and body that the path we are on is a true one for us.  This session will explore how to discover one’s life’s purpose and use that exploration to create a more financially empowered life.
