Deborah Price, Founder, CEO, and Certified Money Coach (CMC)

Deborah Price is the founder of The Money Coaching Institute, which provides money coaching, consulting and training to Advisors, Deborah left the financial industry to pioneer the field of Money Coaching.

Money Coaching is a step-by-step process for understanding and changing one’s relationship with money in order to live a more purposeful and prosperous life. Through education and awareness, The Money Coaching Institute is committed to empowering others around money, both personally and practically.

She is the author of Money Therapy: Using the Eight Money Types to Create Wealth and Prosperity; Money Magic: Unleashing Your Potential for Wealth and Prosperity; and Start Investing Online Today. She has appeared on numerous radio and television shows throughout the United States and is considered a leading expert in her field. Deborah works with individual and couples and is a consultant to both corporations and non-profit businesses. She resides in Petaluma, California with her family.

Steven "Shags" Shagrin, Vice President & Coordinator of Financial Education Programs; Certified Money Coach (CMC), Registered Life Planner & CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificant

Shags is a Certified Money Coach (CMC) and Trainer/Facilitator with the Money Coaching Institute. After receiving his Bachelors Degree from the University of Miami (FL), a law degree from Case Western Reserve University, and working in the financial services field for over two decades (and accumulating a lot of letters to put after his name), Shags discovered his passion for empowering and inspiring others to transform their dreams into reality through Money Coaching.

Over the years, Shags has facilitated Money Coaching Workshops & Trainings with the Money Coaching Institute and has publicly spoken about "Understanding Your Relationship With Money" and "Managing Your Life: Managing Your Money", the latter based on his workbook and which is now offered as one of our Financial Literacy courses.

Always drawn to personal development, coaching, and facilitating, Shags currently uses his talents to do individual coaching, facilitate workshops and teach financial literacy through the Money Coaching Institute. His company, Planning For Life, also provides workshops on retirement lifestyle planning, as well as continuing education for attorneys, accountants, and financial professionals through his program "Understanding Your Clients' Relationship With Money".

Donna Colfer, Certified Money Coach (CMC)

Donna Colfer comes to the field of Money Coaching with twenty years of experience in financial management and ten years as a spiritual counselor. She blends these two areas in a professional and compassionate way that is truly powerful and effective in her Money Coaching practice. She is also a lead Trainer & Facilitator for the Money Coaching Institute and is beloved by all who know and work with her for her ability to coach others with compassion and non-judgment.

Her combined experience and commitment to facilitating others on their path are key aspects of her coaching practice. She works with individuals, couples and groups.

Ray Arata,Certified Money Coach (CMC) & Registered Life Planner

Ray Arata is a Certified Money Coach (CMC) and Registered Life Planner who left the financial services industry after a successful career as a financial advisor with RBC Dain Rauscher. Ray set out on a journey of personal growth to study and expand his knowledge and awareness of the “inner side of money” so that he could help others to have a better sense of themselves and their “true net worth”. Ray noticed how people’s unconscious relationship with money often prohibited them from having the life they wanted, the career they longed for, and the relationships that mattered most to them.

Ray coaches individuals and couples and is also a lead trainer & facilitator for the Money Coaching Institute. He has a passion and desire to reach and positively affect others in the world. He is also a conscious father of three children and a committed partner to his wife, Anna.

Phil Britz,Certified Money Coach (CMC) - South Africa (Johannesburg)

Phil is a Certified Money Coach (CMC) and Trainer heading up the Money Coaching Institute offices in South Africa.

Phil has a degree from the University of Cape Town and has been in the financial services since 1989. He conducts workshops and trainings in Johannesburg and Cape Town . Through personal circumstances and a deep desire to be of service to society, Phil was instantly drawn to Money Coaching in 2004. He says “the connection to this work was like a thunderbolt and the power has not subsided to this day.” Phil is a keen observer and student of the energy of money and enjoys helping others to harness this energy as well.

In addition to Money Coaching, Phil is a pension consultant and advises employers and fund members on all aspects of retirement. Phil believes that Money Coaching is an essential building block for anyone wishing to achieve a purposeful and prosperous life and is committed to assisting as many people possible in achieving this. Phil is passionate about South Africa , where he lives with his wife, Tess. Together, they are involved in many community upliftment projects.
